DESCRIPTION: American Waltham Watch Co.,Waltham, Mass., pocket chronograph with minute register, 14 size, 15 jewels, stem wind and lever set, frosted nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws and gold chronograph wheels in a 14 karat, rose gold, hinged back and bezel, reeded edge, open face case with monogram on rear cover, and presentation on gold cuvette "Franklin A. Wilson / to / John Wilson/ July 2nd 1911", Arabic numeral, double sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel spade and whip hands, serial #3127016, 132.6g TW, c1890.
CONDITION: CASE: Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Bow worn; Crown worn; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Spider hairlines; Small chips at edge of seconds bit. HANDS: Minor oxide, minute; Chronograph hand replaced, tail broken. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; A few spots of verdigris; Dings on balance cock; Balance endstone setting below top of balance cock. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
